The United States of Empire

We’re getting close to the end now. Can you feel it?  I do.  It’s in the news, on the streets, and in your face every day. You can’t tune it out anymore, even if you wanted to.

Where once there was civil debate in the court of public opinion, we now have censorship, monopoly, screaming, insults, demonization, and, finally, the use of force to silence the opposition. There is no turning back now. The political extremes are going to war, and you will be dragged into it even if you consider yourself apolitical.

There are great pivot points in history, and we’ve arrived at one. The United States, ruptured by a thousand grievance groups, torn by shadowy agencies drunk on a gross excess of power, robbed blind by oligarchs and their treasonous henchmen and decimated by frivolous wars of choice, has finally come to a point where the end begins in earnest. The center isn’t holding… indeed, finding a center is no longer even conceivable. We are the schizophrenic nation, bound by no societal norms, constrained by no religion, with no shared sense of history, myth, language, art, philosophy, music, or culture, rushing toward an uncertain future fueled by nothing more than easy money, hubris, and sheer momentum.

There comes a time when hard choices must be made…when it is no longer possible to remain aloof or amused, because the barbarians have arrived at the gate. Indeed, they are here now, and they often look a whole lot like deracinated, conflicted, yet bellicose fellow Americans, certain of only one thing, and that is that they possess “rights”, even though they could scarcely form an intelligible sentence explaining exactly what those rights secure or how they came into being. But that isn’t necessary, from their point of view, you see. All they need is a “voice” and membership in an approved victim class to enrich themselves at someone else’s expense. If you are thinking to yourself right now that this does not describe you, then guess what? The joke’s on you, and you are going to be expected to pay the bill…that “someone else” is you.

In reality, though, who can blame the minions, when the elites have their hand in the till as well? In fact, they are even more hostile to reasoned discourse than Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, or Antifa. Witness the complete meltdown of the privileged classes when President Trump mildly suggested that perhaps our “intelligence community” isn’t to be trusted, which is after all a fairly sober assessment when one considers the track record of the CIA, FBI, NSA, BATF, and the other assorted Stasi agencies. Burning cop cars or bum-rushing the odd Trump supporter seems kind of tame in comparison to the weeping and gnashing of teeth when that hoary old MIC “intelligence” vampire was dragged screaming into the light. Yet Trump did not drive a stake into its heart, nor at this point likely can anyone…and that is exactly the point. We are now Thelma and Louise writ large. We are on cruise control, happily speeding towards the cliff, and few seem to notice that our not so distant future involves bankruptcy, totalitarianism, and/or nuclear annihilation. Even though most of us couldn’t identify the band, we nonetheless surely live the lyrics of the Grass Roots: “Live for today, and don’t worry about tomorrow.”

The “Defense” Department, “Homeland” Security, big pharma, big oil, big education, civil rights groups, blacks, Indians, Jews, the Deep State, government workers, labor unions, Neocons, Populists, fundamentalist Christians, atheists, pro life and pro death advocates, environmentalists, lawyers, homosexuals, women, Millenials, Baby Boomers, blue collar/white collar, illegal aliens…the list goes on and on, but the point is that the conflicting agendas of these disparate groups have been irreconcilable for some time. The difference today is that we are de facto at war with each other, and whether it is a war of words or of actual combat doesn’t matter at the moment. What matters is that we no longer communicate, and when that happens it is easy to demonize the other side. Violence is never far behind ignorance.

I am writing this from the bar at the Intercontinental Hotel in Vienna, Austria. I have seen with my own eyes the inundation of Europe with an influx of hostile aliens bent on the destruction of Old Christendom, yet I have some hope for the eastern European countries because they have finally recognized the threat and are working to neutralize it. Foreign malcontents can never be successfully integrated into a civilized society because they don’t even intend to try; they intend to conquer their host instead. Yet even though our own discontents are domestic for the most part, we have a much harder row to hoe than Old Europe because our own “invaders” are well entrenched and have been for decades, all the way up to the highest levels of government. That there are signs Austria is finally waking up is a good thing, but it serves to illustrate the folly of expecting the hostile cultures within our own country to get along with each other without rupturing the republic. Indeed, that republic died long ago, and it has been replaced by a metastasizing mass of amorphous humanity called the American Empire, and it is at war with itself and consuming itself from within.

Long ago, we once knew that as American citizens each of us had a great responsibility. We were expected to work hard, play fair, do unto others as we would have them do unto us, and serve our country when called upon to do so. Today, we don’t speak of duty, except in so much as a slogan to promote war, but we certainly do speak of benefits for ourselves and our “group” of entitled peeps. We will fail because of our greed and avarice. The United States of Empire has become quite simply too big, too diverse, and too “exceptional” to survive.

  1. Lawrence Glickman says:

A brilliant summary of the situation. There are still islands of sanity in the USA. Texas, Wyoming for example. Colorado where I will move soon is a 50-50 liberal and conservative place at least for now. One issue that is never mentioned is the simple expansion to 320 million people from the 145 million when I was born The second issue never talked about is Lyndon Johnson’s decision to change immigration preferences from Northern Europe to worldwide groups with little in common with the original population. Finally NASA has been quite poor in hiding the fact the the Solar System around us is quite busy with neighbors. I have seen a couple of UFO’s myself and probably the “End” as you say may come via what Ronald Reagan alluded to in two speeches at the UN about Aliens plus testimony of Astronauts Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper. The best we can do is heed the advice from the 1950’s in schools of that time at the dawn of the Nuclear Age. “Duck and Cover”

    • Vonu says:

      Where is Texas, Wyoming?
Did you intend an ampersand rather than a comma?
Any state which has not, by now, normalized the legality of concealed and open carry is not a island of sanity. Texas doesn’t even allow open carry without a permit, making it like Denver. Unfortunately, the Colorado Supreme Court holds no sway in Texas.

    • Zundfolge says:

Well Lawrence, you’re getting to Colorado just in time for its demise. In a couple weeks we will elect a hard core progressive and probably lose the Senate to the D’s thus giving them all 3 seats of power and the Californication will be complete.

We’re looking at Wyoming or South Dakota.

    • PJ says:

Lived in Wyoming for a few years. My impression is that the political culture is based on, “It’s not socialism when we do it.” The wildlife bureaucracy is a huge joke, and there are even still people there who think pot smokers should be thrown in jail. The good news about Wyoming is that people still remember to help each other in bad situations, without needing to be nagged by our “betters” in the oligarchy.

    • MMinLamesa says:

You think Co may be 50/50 but take it from someone who lived there 45 years and was sickened to death at what the state, CONTROLLED from Denver & Boulder counties, has become.

I left in 2014 after the scumbag Hickenlooper was reelected and reefer was legalized and moved to w Texas.

RIGHT NOW, CO is about to elect a pole smoking fag who has promised FREE everything to the malcontents. All the reefer tax in the world won’t begin to cover this bullshit. Expect the golden economy to sink and the housing boom there to deflate.

Good luck-sure is a beautiful state-the snowboarding, hunting, fishing & mountain bike riding are fantastic-the 16th St Mall is an assault on you waiting to happen.

  2. Jonathan says:

Yes, the USA is too big. I’ve heard smart people make an argument that you cannot properly and fairly run a republic of more than one million souls. In ancient Greece, they accomplished great things with city-states of less than 100,000. I’m not willing to say how big is too big, but certainly it is well south of 100 million.
The immigration act was Robert Kennedy’s treason, IIRC. He promised it wouldn’t change the fundamental racial composition of the USA. He was lying, of course, but la plus ca change…

    • Vonu says:

Ignorane, which is rampant across the board in America, is far more of a problem than the size of the country.
America, Canada, and China are within single digit percentages of the same landmass.
Russia is by far the largest country on the planet, even without its USSR departees. It is also a more consistently Christian population than any of the other three. They don’t murder homosexuals like the bible says to, but they do lock them up for their moral turpitude.

    • Alan T HARVEY says:

I think you mean Ted Kennedy, not Robert. He was the front man for Emmanuel Cellar, who worked for FORTY years to end European-priority in U.S. immigration. Cellar put Europeans at the back of the bus, if they were even allowed on!

      • John says:

You are correct sir. Emanuel Cellar also was kind enough to write the Gun Control Act of 1968 because we all know the rifle Lee Oswald purchased mail order killed JFK. Knowing how wild and hairy the average American is he added registration and licensing provisions as well. A one fingered salute to the boys who saved his Clans ass in WWII. What else would you expect from a Zionist.

    • Georgiaboy61 says:

      @ Jonathan

Re: “The immigration act was Robert Kennedy’s treason, IIRC. He promised it wouldn’t change the fundamental racial composition of the USA. He was lying, of course, but la plus ca change…”

That would be Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy (D-MA), who was responsible for the Hart-Cellar Act of 1965, along with some collaborators of course. Ted’s been dead-and-buried some years now, but continues to inflict damage upon the republic from beyond the grave, as it were.

  3. Lawrence Glickman says:

I think it was Lyndon Johnson
The Hart–Celler Act of 1965 marked a radical break from the immigration policies of the past. … At the height of the Civil Rights Movement the restrictive immigration laws were seen as an embarrassment. President Lyndon Johnson signed the 1965 act into law at the foot of the Statue of Liberty.
The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 (H.R. 2580; Pub.L. 89–236, 79 Stat. 911, enacted June 30, 1968), also known as the Hart–Celler Act,[1] changed the way quotas were allocated by ending the National Origins Formula that had been in place in the United States since the Emergency Quota Act of 1921. Representative Emanuel Celler of New York proposed the bill, Senator Philip Hart of Michigan co-sponsored it, and Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts helped to promote it.
The Hart–Celler Act abolished the quota system based on national origins that had been American immigration policy since the 1920s. The 1965 Act marked a change from past U.S. policy which had discriminated against non-northern Europeans.[2] In removing racial and national barriers the Act would significantly alter the demographic mix in the U.S.[2]
The new law maintained the per-country limits, but also created preference visa categories that focused on immigrants’ skills and family relationships with citizens or U.S. residents. The bill set numerical restrictions on visas at 170,000 per year, with a per-country-of-origin quota. However, immediate relatives of U.S. citizens and “special immigrants” had no restrictions.[1]

    • dudedont says:

The irony is that when Africans come to America, they oook down on so called African-Americans. Most, if not all immigrants do. Never thought that good old American virtue signaling was that old.

  4. Jonathan says:

Yes of course Johnson was President, but it was Ted Kennedy that got the bill through Congress (sorry I wrongly said it was Robert Kennedy). Here is the lie he told at the time:
“First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same…
Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset… Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia…

This is not the time to give up but to fight as Christians for freedoms this country was founded on. As ministers you now have the right to take sides from the pulpit. Presidential Executive Order Promoting Free Speech and Religious Liberty In 4 weeks we will save the republic or give it up bu NOT voting for the only civil party – The Republicans, They ain’t perfect but they are not Gorge Soros’ puppets for the above groups that want unrest and civil dis-obedience. It’s time to fight for what is right!

A great article and sayings. I am a Texan and a member of the Texas Nationalist Movement. Our TNM Pres wrote the Texit book this year.
We are working in Texas to have a vote for Texas being Independent again.
Texas is basically conservative and California is super liberal but they also want to be independent again.
Thanks for the article and various answers.

PS: Maybe y’all would like to come to Texas and help for TEXAS INDEPENDENT AGAIN !!!

  9. HenryK says:

I don’t think US multiculturalism is at all the root of our disintegration. We are not being invaded as is Europe. It is Americans themselves that are tearing each other apart. All this started during the Vietnam war, and we were invaded–not by war refugees but by the cultural Marxist revolution, initiated in the 60’s, that rotted the brains and souls of the spoiled rotten “boomer” university students, who then went on to spread the virus everywhere as they grew up and entered the economy. It was the truly watershed event of the Vietnam war that split the country and created the opening for all the youth revolutions of that time.

” While Marxism has largely disappeared from the workers’ movement, Marxist theory flourishes today in cultural institutions, in the academic world, and in the mass media. This “cultural Marxism” goes back to Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937) and the Frankfurt School. The theorists of Marxism recognized that the proletariat would not play the expected historical role as a “revolutionary subject.” Therefore, for the revolution to happen, the movement must depend on the cultural leaders to destroy the existing, mainly Christian, culture and morality and then drive the disoriented masses to Communism as their new creed. The goal of this movement is to establish a world government in which the Marxist intellectuals have the final say. In this sense, the cultural Marxists are the continuation of what started with the Russian revolution…
…The way toward the rule of the cultural Marxists is the moral corruption of the people. To accomplish this, the mass media and public education must not enlighten but confuse and mislead. The media and the educational establishment work to put one part of the society against the other part. While group identities get more specific, the catalog of victimization and history of oppression becomes more detailed. To turn into a recognized victim of suppression is the way to gain social status and to obtain the right to special assistance, of respect and social inclusion.
The demand for social justice creates an endless stream of expenditures deemed essential — for health, education, old age, and for all those people who are “needy,” “persecuted” and “oppressed,” be it real or imaginary. The flood of never-ending spending in these areas corrupts the state finances and produces fiscal crises. This helps the Neo-Marxists accuse “capitalism” of all evils when, in fact, it is the regulatory state that provokes the systemic failures and when it is the excess of public debt that causes the financial fragility.
Politics, the media, and the judiciary never pause at waging the new endless wars: the war on drugs or against high blood pressure or the campaigns that assert the endless struggle against fat and obesity. The list of the enemies grows every day whether racism, xenophobia, and anti-Islamism. The epitome of this movement is political correctness, the war against having one’s own opinion. While the public tolerates disgusting expositions of behavior, particularly under the cult of the arts, the list of prohibited words and opinions grows daily. Public opinion must not go beyond the few accepted positions. Yet while the public debate impoverishes, the diversity of radical opinion flourishes in the hidden…
The cultural Marxists drive society morally into an identity crisis by the means of the false standards of a hypocritical ethics. The aim is no longer the “dictatorship of the proletariat,” because this project has failed, but the “dictatorship of political correctness” whose supreme authority lies in the hands of the cultural Marxists. As a new class of priests, the guardians of the new orthodoxy rule the institutions whose power they try to extend over all parts of the society. The moral destruction of the individual is a necessary step to accomplish the final victory…
…the ideology of cultural Marxism is the main source of the profound confusion that has grabbed almost every segment of the modern Western societies and which is about to swell into even more dangerous proportions.

    • John says:

No. It is multiculturalism destroying the FUSA. At this point the job is finished.

      • Count DiMonet says:

So true. A member of the migration mob said he lived in the USA for 19 years and was deported 2 months ago. He could barely speak broken English. They don’t care to adjust. How many times have you stood in line and hear a Mexican mom speak to her children in Spanish?

    • Mich says:

You are a very wake observer (which refers to what your comment says, and to what it doesn’t say…).

  10. HenryK says:

Sorry, here is the credit for the long quote in the above post:

Is Cultural Marxism America’s New Mainline Ideology?
    By Antony P. Mueller

  11. Synickel says:

Well stated article, and yes, I can identify the Grass Roots. Does that make me a citizen of an ancient empire?

  12. The problem has more then one variable. The leftist infiltration of institutions has degraded American citizenship. Big government has bred a huge dependent populations. Multiculturalism always leads to identity politics. These things are connected but not the same. Whether the republic can be “saved” is uncertain – break-up seems more likely. But whatever the outcome, we need to recognize the full extent of the threats.

  13. Stilicho says:

@HenryK we are being invaded and on a far larger scale than all of Europe combind. About 1 million “legal” invaders every year, overwhelmingly dirt worlders. A significant percentage of that number also as illegals. There are more foreigners residing in the US right now than the entire population of France. Look it up. We have been invaded and no amount of appeals to “proposition nation” nonsense will save us. The only reason we were able to partially integrate the wave of Irish, German, and Italian immigrants was a complete moratorium on immigration and the shared suffering and sacrifice of WWII. Today, we can’t even slow the influx of invaders because one political party sees them as useful foot soldiers and voters while part of the other part wants them for cheap labor. The suffering and hardship is on its way though.

  14. Stilicho says:

To clarify: 1 million “legal” immigrants, plus hundreds of thousands of illegals every year. None of whom are American or can becpme American. They might become Paper Americans, citizens, but the myth of the meltingpot won’t save us.

  15. Robert Browning says:

Don’t worry Moshiach will save us.

  16. Corvinus says:

The author’s sentiments are no different than in the 1890’s, the 1930’s, and in the 1960’s. The fact of the matter is that the proposition nation is embedded in our DNA. We FULLY integrated the Irish, Italians, Germans, Assyrians, Vietnamese, and Kenyans. Normies understand that, ultimately, the American identity has not been lost within the past 60 years, it just has transformed, similar to when the Thirteen Colonies began as primarily British, but subsumed other European groups who were historic rivals, and eventually non-Europeans. The Welsh, the Cornish, Bavarians, the Catalans–they were distinct sub-Europeans groups, but over generations they intermingled and dispersed in our great land. Americans are a mixture of European and non-European ethnostates who, like any and all groups, self-identify. They know who they are and where they come from, and create groups who share their self-identities. Furthermore, the default for American is American and not a particular race, regardless of one’s willingness to admit it this decided fact. When you call yourself a black American or a Chinese American, you are still an American, as in residing in the nation referred as the United States.

Interesting piece. Jonathon, it is hard for a person not acquainted with the US to believe the scenario. Russia will not attack the US so where is this nuclear scenario coming from? I don’t believe that the US is going in a downward direction simply because President Trump is giving the world hell. He wills to destroy Russia and possibly be destroyed in response. This is not the same as Russia attacking the US and being destroyed in its turn. Iranians, who rightly turfed the Shah, are being said to be bad. No one can buy from them because of US rantings. Creepy dudes like the Shah Pahlevi are being posthumously lauded by Trump. How can you say that the US is up a gum-tree? If it were it would never even dare to bring up the name of so odious a person.

    • Jonathan says:

      Hi Ian:
I don’t necessarily think that Russia will attack the USA on purpose. Nor do I think we would attack Russia with nukes. It’s just a question of the probability of MAD if someone in the chain miscalculates or makes a mistake. That probability increases as the Russophobic propaganda gets more absurd. It increases as we move NATO ever closer to Russian borders. It increases as both the countries develop ever more deadly weapons. It increases as both countries lower the threshold for use of nukes…or worse, when they make such thresholds unclear or even up to the local field commander (for tactical nukes).

I do not personally think that nuclear war is likely. I think it’s improbable, but not impossible. I would say the chances are 10% (yes, that too is an arbitrary number). But it isn’t impossible. Would you play Russian roulette with a ten shot revolver (if such a gun existed)? That’s why I included it in the article.

I don’t see it. I’d much rather live in America during the coming rainy decade, than in France or Germany. All countries have entrenched traitors. Not all have the means to fight them.

Also, the invaders of America are largely Catholic Mexicans, while the invaders of Europe are Muslim Africans and people from the Middle East. The latter are much more dangerous and evil, while this country has been getting along with Hispanics for 200 years, give or take a war or two.
