Yosemite

This is my third trip to Yosemite, and I’m glad to see it hasn’t changed in any meaningful way.  I stayed at the Yosemite Valley Lodge, which I wouldn’t recommend, but then, the alternative Awahnee is a bit high for my budget at $600/night, especially when I’ve already been staying in cabins or hotels for two months now.

This park, along with the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone, mark the three crown jewels in the National Park System.  I’ll let the pictures do the talking, but suffice it to say that while in Yosemite I wouldn’t miss Tuolumne Meadows, the view from Glacier Pass, or Yosemite Falls.  All are pictured here.

Oh, by the way, there is at least one thing that has changed in the park: the numbers of foreign visitors.  At times I felt like I was on another continent.  the numbers of Europeans, especially impressed, and I’m glad that they are exploring our beautiful country with their families (it was almost always families that I saw).
