Well, it’s raining and cold. Again. So I’m doing museums again today, using the Museum Pass. I paid about $50 for it and am determined to make it work for me, but at this point I’ll be happy just to break even. Unless you are a diehard museum-goer, the pass isn’t worth it.

Notre Dame is one of those landmark buildings that is so big you can’t really capture it on camera, especially if all you’ve invested in photography is in your phone. Still, I try to shoot some good pics, to no avail.
I’m awed by the church, really. By the way, the above sculpture wasn’t IN the church, for obvious reasons. LOL
I am standing under the Arc de Triomphe watching the presidents of France and Poland lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier, then reignite the flame, signifying the end of the War in Europe in 1945. It is a somber occasion, and from my vantage point I can only see a portion of it. Continue reading
